Backbends in Forward Bends – 20-hour Intensive
with Ramanand Patel and Hart Lazer

Join these two master teachers as they help to unfold the intricacies of forward bends. At the physical level of practice, forward bends facilitate the opening of hamstrings and groins, and strengthen the quadriceps and back. At the organic level, they are a boon to the digestive system and tone the abdomen. A conscious and progressive approach to forward bends can bring deep mental and emotional introspection. This approach requires the action of backbends and what is known as “double action”. Under careful and experienced instruction, Ramanand and Hart will prepare you to explore your forward bend practice more deeply.

This intensive is appropriate for yoga teachers and students of yoga who have had a strong yoga practice for at least one year.

October 16 – 17, 2021

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM (EDT) with Hart
2:00 PM – 4:30 PM (EDT) with Ramanand

Fee: $400.00 plus taxes

This course will take place live on ZOOM and will include feedback where necessary. A link to the recorded sessions will be available for 3 weeks following each weekend.

A note about props:
Classes will be adjusted for using basic props. Ideally you will have a wall (or locked door) available and your mat set up before we begin. Additionally, if you have a belt, 2 blocks, 3 blankets, a bolster and a chair available, please have them near by, as we will use them.
